Neshota Park
We are very fortunate to have Neshota Park located at 5757 Park Road in our municipality. Neshota Park is a 260 acre steeply sloped and wooded park with well maintained trails for hiking, walking, bridle paths for horseback riders and ski trails for beginner and intermediate cross-country skiers. The park is also ideal for sledding and has access to the snowmobile trails. Neshota Park is a part of the Brown County Parks System and user fees due apply for certain activities. Please visit www.co.brown.wi.us/parks for more information. An enclosed shelter house with a cooking facility and field stone fireplace is available to rent for special gatherings. Rental arrangements can also be made through the Brown County Parks Department.
Veterans War Memorial Shelter House
The Town of New Denmark has been an integral part of the construction and recent renovation to the Veterans Memorial Shelter House which is located at Memorial Park in the Village of Denmark. Residents are encouraged to utilize this shelter house if they are in need to a facility for a family gathering or special event. The shelter can hold approximately 60-75 people and provides access to the surrounding park, playground and ball diamond. The rental fee is $75.00 and the proceeds benefit the Veterans Memorial Fund.
